Your yacht will be looked after better than almost any other yacht on the water! Your dedicated team will complete a comprehensive maintenance schedule that far exceeds the usual maintenance typical boat owners undertake. Your maintenance schedule will include regular detailing, cleaning as well as mechanical upkeep, system

checks and underwater maintenance. As the schedule of maintenance will depend upon the type of yacht you choose and the location, specifics about the maintenance schedule will be discussed on an individual basis, however below is an outline of what will be completed.

31 Luhrs Open FishThe heart and soul of your yacht is the engine and the systems that go along with this. Engine manufacturers recommend that a full mechanical check is completed every 100 hours of use, or annually, whichever comes first. Therefore we complete your 100 hour service on time every time. This service will include fluid changes including oil and gear lube, spark plugs & belts will be checked and replaced if necessary, and the whole engine is given a thorough once over! In addition, ALL the systems on your yacht, including engine, electrical and air conditioning will be checked on a monthly basis to insure everything is working smoothly, and if item needs attention it can be taken care of before a problem spreads.

Underwater maintenance is a constant battle with the marine environment. Marine growth can have a significant effect on a boats speed, performance and fuel economy. It does not take many barnacles to attach to the bottom of your boat before you will be dramatically affected. To prevent this we will send a diver down to the bottom of your boat regularly to remove any marine growth, make sure everything below the surface is in good order, and replace the boats zincs when needed. Boat zincs are extremely important 50 Silvertonto a boats upkeep, known as ‘sacrificial anodes’ they act as an anti corrosion device, oxidizing and deteriorating instead of the metal parts of your boat and engine. Especially in saline marine environments, electrolysis can be a major problem, and regularly changing boat zincs can literally be a boat saver!

Boat cleaning and boat detailing is also a significant element to any boat maintenance regime. Unlike cars that have a protective clear cote that help to protect the paint from erosion of UV rays, boats have unprotected paint, or gel coat that is subjected to UV rays, salt and many other environmental conditions that attack and oxidize the surface of your boat! When a gel coat boat is left unprotected it will begin to dull and may even leave a ‘chalky’ residue on your hand if you touch it – this residue is oxidized gel coat! The sun and salt water is literally eroding away at the surface of your boat – this not only looks unattractive, but will eventually lead to the need to repaint or re surface your boat which is a very expensive undertaking. Protecting your boat with a regular wax or sealer will result in a shiny boat that not only looks attractive, but will last for many years. Most people understand the need to keep any item clean, therefore boat washing is also a major part of boat maintenance, and one that will keep your yacht standing tall!
