As a fractional lease member you will be purchasing the right to use your boat for a minimum number of days per year, typically you can choose whether you wish to use a full day, or just a partial day, therefore increasing the number of days you can use your boat – For example a typical boat will have up to eight like-minded people sharing the costs, this dramatically reduces the costs for each member and entitles each person to 45 days per year, this is more than all but the most dedicated boaters will use, however as most people use their boat for a few hours at a time, or an evening cruise, not using the full day will enable you to use the vessel 90 times throughout the year! Even then, if you do use all your allocation of days, you still have unlimited access to your boat on an ‘as available’ basis for no additional charge.
